LAW, responding to an NPS Scope of Work Proposal of October 19, 2000, conducted a survey for the presence of asbestos-containing materials (ACM), lead-based paint and lead in soil at Building #91, Ballanger House. LAW analyzed 5 samples representing 4 suspect ACM, 142 interior and exterior painted surfaces, and collected composite soil samples along the "drip Line" from the south side of the building. LAW recommended specific actions dealing with areas considered to be painted with lead-based paint or containing ACM.
