LAW, responding to an NPS Scope of Work Proposal of October 19, 2000, conducted a survey for the presence of asbestos-containing materials (ACM), lead-based paint and lead in soil at Building #91, Pearce House. LAW analyzed 4 samples representing 4 suspect ACM, 230 interior and exterior painted surfaces, and collected composite soil samples along the "drip Line" from the east and west side of the building. LAW recommended specific actions dealing with areas considered to be painted with lead-based paint or containing ACM.
