LAW, responding to an NPS Scope of Work Proposal of October 6, 2000, conducted a survey for the presence of asbestos-containing materials (ACM), lead-based paint and lead dust at the furnaces of four different buildings. LAW analyzed samples representing suspect ACM and five bulk paint samples from the furnaces and surrounding area in each of the four buildings. Law recommended specific actions dealing with areas considered to be painted with lead-based paint or containing ACM.
