ECS, responding to an NPS Scope of Work Proposal of April, 2004, conducted a survey for the presence of asbestos-containing materials (ACM), lead-based paint and lead in soil at Building 82. ECS analyzed 12 samples representing suspect ACM, 170 interior painted surfaces and collected 2 soil samples the east and west side of the building. ECS recommended specific actions dealing with areas considered to be painted with lead-based paint or containing ACM.
