Approximately 90 free-dive surveys of coral reef swimmers were made during the approximately three-month course of this study. Macroscopic invertebrate swimmers were rarely observed so the focus of the study shifted to vertebrates, primarily fish. In situ video recordings were made of these swimmers with reference to turning maneuvers. Turning associated with schooling, predation, predator avoidance and courting rituals were documented as in situ video clips.
