The brown marmorated stink bug, Halyomorpha halys, is an invasive pest native to Asian that was first reported in North Carolina in 2009, and has since spread throughout the mountains and piedmont regions of the state. The purpose of this survey was to determine if elevation is restricting is spread in the mountains. Based on pheromone trap captures, results in 2018 found it was frequently detected at elevations <3000 ft, but only one individual was detected above 3900 ft.
