Jaquish VG. An investigation of Agave flower visitation by Antrozous pallidus in the Big Bend region of Texas. Research Permit and Reporting System

The objective of this study was to identify and document the species of pollen found on pallid bats to determine the plant species and to determine if they are visiting Agave havardiana. Nocturnal video was recorded at Agave flowers to document pallid bat behavior at the flowers. In 2018, we set mist nets and/or harp traps to capture bats for a total of 16 nights at 4 sites within Big Bend National Park between April and August of 2018. This summary combines bats captures from all 4 sites.
