The primary goal of the USVI Basic Ambient Water Quality Monitoring Program (BAWQMP) is to document a set of environmental indicators to estimate the condition of the marine waters in the U.S. Virgin Islands in relation to human health concerns, ecological condition, and designated uses. The focus of the assessment includes areas located directly in, and areas within the influence of, point- and non-point sources of pollution, harbors, marinas, popular beaches, and areas believed to be unaffect
