This standard operating procedure (SOP) describes the training that field personnel should receive before carrying out the NGPN Stream Channel Monitoring Protocol (Thornbrugh et al. 2019). The procedures are adapted from the SOPs in the Plant Community Composition and Structure Monitoring Protocol for the Northern Great Plains I&M Network (Symstad et al. 2012).
