Glacier Bay Park and Preserve landslide studies
Bessette-Kirton E, Coe J, Geertsema M. Glacier Bay Park and Preserve landslide studies. Research Permit and Reporting System
We used 30-m Landsat imagery acquired from 1984 to 2016 to establish an inventory of 24 rock avalanches in Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve. Landslide size and mobility has increased in this period and is attributed to climate warming and likely to mountain permafrost degradation.
