This report explains in detail the work that was completed on each of four outbuildings of the Vail and Vickers Ranch Complex, with the history and costs of the project. The treated structures are the Corral Outhouse, the Lopez Outhouse, the Ranch Outhouse, and the Vail and Vickers Ranch Rope Shed. The four outbuildings are important features of the Vail and Vickers Ranch Complex and enhance the character and integrity of the complex as a whole. In April of 2003, Supervisory Exhibit Specialist Glenn Simpson and four preservation specialists (Dick Halverson, Joe Haun, Dennis Dorman, and Doug Roth) traveled to Santa Rosa Island with CHIS Cultural Resource Manager Ann Huston. Ann Huston and Glenn Simpson toured the structures with the preservation specialists and outlined the proposed work for each building. The craftsmen stayed on Santa Rosa Island to complete the scope of work.
