New data from Old Dad Mountain finds 3 major structures: Early Cretaceous left-lateral Powerline Canyon Shear Zone; Late Cretaceous Playground Thrust, with top to the southeast transport; and Miocene Old Dad normal fault. Cross cutting relationships and kinematic data obtained in this study make it unlikely that a strand of the active dextral Soda-Avawatz Fault zone is present at Old Dad Mountain, but show obvious similarities between with the Clark and New York Mountains, to the east.
