From abstract: "The Tutuila Architectural Survey was undertaken to identify and characterize the range, number, and locations of historic properties in the work area that are not presently on the National Register. To accomplish this survey Mason Architects went to American Samoa for two weeks and met with AS SHPO to focus on the 1960's build-up relating to commercial, government, public school buildings, as well as transportation infrastructure and public work facilities. At each building, Mason historian undertook digital photography, noted descriptions, and character-defining features, and collected GPS data points." Project funding was provided by a Historic Preservation Fund grant to the American Samoa Historic Preservation Office, administered by the Interior Regions 8, 9, 10, and 12, National Park Service, U.S. Department of Interior.
