The Fern Lake Fire Effects brief gives an overview of the Fern Lake Fire of 2012, post-fire research findings, impacts to cultural resources, and current activities related to fire risk mitigation in the park. There is also a section outlining key messages for communicating with the public, and a resource and reference section for more information. This internal document was developed to support park staff and volunteers in both learning about the effects of the 2013 Fern Lake Fire, and communicating to the public on this topic.
