This report describes visitor use of bicycles in Glacier National Park in 2018. The 2018 season was the third season that researchers from the University of Montana collected data on the number of bicycles at designated locations in the park. As in previous years, the data was collected using JAMAR Technologies, Inc. TRAX Cycles Plus equipment, referred to as TraxPro tube counters. This report contains counts from six different locations, two of which were also used in 2016 and 2017 and presents counts from the end of May into September. The locations which were also used in previous years were on the Apgar bike path and on Camas Road. The new count locations were near Logan Pass, on the road to Kintla Lake, on the road to Two Medicine, and on the road to Many Glacier. A fire closed part of the Going-to-the-Sun Road on August 13, so all counts were impacted by this closure and can be seen in many of the daily graphs.
