2010 SFAN Science Symposium. 2010

The second annual Natural Resources and Science Symposium was held from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm on February 4, 2010. Over 100 people from a wide range of park programs, non-profit partner groups, and federal, state, and local agencies were in attendance to learn about natural resources and science in and around the national parks of the San Francisco Bay Area, find out where to get more information, and to network with colleagues. Presentations and posters covered the following themes: - Park Management in a Changing Environment (e.g. climate change, invasive species, T&E species, balancing visitation with resource protection) - Trends in Ecosystem and Park Health (e.g. long-term monitoring) - Science Education and Communication - Traditional Ecological Knowledge
