The first annual Natural Resources and Science Symposium was held from 9:00 am – 4:30 pm on January 15, 2009. This day-long event offered valuable opportunities for park staff to meet and talk with presenters and other attendees, browse poster displays, and learn about park natural resources from over 13 presentations by NPS Natural Resource, Science, Inventory and Monitoring, and Pacific Coast Science and Learning Center staff members. Presentations were focused along the following themes: - What’s in Our Parks? - What We’ve Learned from Inventories - Fish and Water - Beaches and Oceans - Communicating Science – What have we learned?
