Preliminary field work was accomplished during four brief visits between late March 2018 and September 2018. Accomplishments during the year included sampling and SEM analysis of an unusual, massive, white, apparently secondary deposit throughout the cave, inventory of the entire commercial trail in the cave, a line survey with leveling details through commercial and Gypsum Annex portions of cave, literature search on geologic setting, and reconnaissance mapping on surface over the cave.
