This report details the founding of Wolf Trap Farm Park (now Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts) and its administration, from its designation in 1966 to the construction of the Filene Center through 1983. Wolf Trap is the only performing arts center run by the NPS. This history describes the influences of NPS administration, Catherine Filene Shouse, the Wolf Trap Foundation, and powerful outside forces on park budgets and development projects.
