Digital point intercept (DPI) method using a mounted camera and photograph analysis. Traditional methods were used to document temporal changes from 2013 to 2016. Digital methods were used to document spatial changes between 2015 and 2016 at a broader extent and finer resolution than the traditional methods due to the reduced field time necessary to collect and analyze digital data. Photographs collected using the digital methods can also be used in the future to measure foliar cover information for a magnitude greater sample size than using the traditional methods
