This study presents the history of the land now included in Piscataway Park. The study covers in detail relations between early Maryland and Virginia colonists and the Piscataway Indians and other Native American tribes in the 17th century, the period of expansion and further settlement in the 18th century, the Piscataway area during the American Revolution, and, briefly, the years after the Revolution through the 20th century.
