From executive summary: "This Historic Preservation Plan is the first formal plan prepared by the Town, under the guidance of the North Attleborough Historical Commission (NAHC), and reflects nearly 100 years of local private and public efforts to preserve, interpret, and advocate for these important resources. The Plan also fulfills the first priority under the Historic Preservation section of the 2014 Town of North Attleborough Master Plan. The Plan was developed through a review and analysis of the Town’s existing inventory of historic structures, archaeological sites, and National Register properties; meetings with members of Town boards and commissions and a review of local regulations; and outreach to the public, including two public forums where issues regarding historic preservation were discussed by community members and the project team." Funding was provided in part by a 2016 Historic Preservation Fund grant to the Town of North Attleborough administered by the Massachusetts Historical Commission (project number MA-16-027, grant number P16AF00148) and the State, Tribal, Local, Plans & Grants Division, National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior.
