This report describes the historical context and architectural features of the Superintendent's Lodge at Antietam National Cemetery. The lodge is historically significant due to both its origins as part of a Civil War cemetery and its Gothic-inspired design by Paul Pelz, who later designed the Library of Congress. The report recommends several measures to preserve and restore the building, including lead and asbestos removal, structural repairs and opening unexcavated crawl spaces.
