This Historic Structure Report provides a history of Ford's Theatre, an architectural description of the theatre as it was on the evening that President Abraham Lincoln was shot, a description of remodeling done in the building since then, and a plan to fully restore the theatre to its appearance on the night of the assassination. The report's history section covers the church that originally occupied the property and John T. Ford's other establishments as well as the history of Ford's Theatre and the assassination.
