Historic Structure Report: The Filene Center

Alpha Corporation, Quinn Evans Architects, Summer Consultants, Inc.. 2017. Historic Structure Report: The Filene Center. Historic Structure Report. National Park Service

This report describes the physical condition and historical background of the Filene Center at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. The Filene Center was originally built in 1971, but burned down in 1982 and was reconstructed. The center, like the park itself, was shaped by the vision of Catherine Filene Shouse, who donated the land for Wolf Trap as well as the funds to build the original Filene Center. This report was intended to guide future work on the Filene Center.
