This study examines the history and construction of the First Division Monument in President's Park. The monument was built shortly after the end of World War I to honor the fallen soldiers of the First Division, which was formed as part of the American Expeditionary Forces during the war. The report follows the construction of the original monument and the later additions honoring First Division soldiers who fought in World War II, the Vietnam War and Desert Storm.
