Biscayne Bay is subjected to influxes of fresh water from the Everglades due to the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Project (CERP). This project utilized artificial seagrass units (ASUs) to observe if salinity or seagrass structure drives epifauna assemblages. The two sites did have some overlapping assemblages; however, the morphometrics of those species varied; therefore, it may require localized management at each canal zone.
