This SOP describes how to select and mark subtidal transect locations. Marine Fish monitoring transect locations consist of a transect 25 m in length that is co-located with the Benthic Marine Community Protocol. Transect width and monitoring procedures are covered in SOP #8 Conducting Marine Fish Surveys.
