Events Across Idaho: Idaho Archaeology and Historic Preservation Month brochure
2018. Events Across Idaho: Idaho Archaeology and Historic Preservation Month brochure. Idaho State Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office
From brochure: "The theme for the 2018 Idaho Archaeology and Historic Preservation Month focuses on 'Story Telling.' The world around us is full of stories. From the smallest arrow point, to the largest historic buildings, our cultural resources tell the stories of Idaho, its peoples, and its history. These are the things that remind us of our past, which have helped shape who we are now and what we will become in the future. Some of this year’s special events will include regional oral history workshops, a guided bike ride along the Route of the Hiawatha, a guided archaeological tour of the Idaho National Laboratory, and the annual Archaeology Fair in Boise. Events are planned throughout Idaho during May and cover topics related to Idaho’s history, archaeology, architectural history, and historic preservation." Funding was provided in part by a 2017 Historic Preservation Fund grant to the Idaho State Historical Society (project number ID-17-005, grant number P17AF00026) administered by the State, Tribal, Local, Plans & Grants Division, National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior.
