This document defines what types of objects and records National Capital Parks-East (NACE) will maintain in their museum collections, as well as describing NACE collection goals and the laws and regulations that pertain to these collections. The document is intended to guide the parks in maintaining their collections by defining what the NACE collections should and should not accept. This document identifies scopes of collection for Greenbelt Park, the Baltimore-Washington Parkway, Anacostia Park, Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens, Fort Circle Parks (now Civil War Defenses of Washington), Capital Hill Parks, Suitland Parkway, Oxon Cove Park, Oxon Run Parkway, Fort Washington Park, Harmony Hall, Piscataway Park and Frederick Douglass National Historic Site.
