For annual weather station monitoring locations derived from the Applied Climate Information System - ACIS (http://www.rcc-acis.org/docs_webservices.html) maintained by NOAA, collection periods of record are calculated and qualified for each climate parameter (cdd, gdd, hdd, maxt, mint, avgt, obst, pcpn, snwd, and snow) collected by the stations at the monitoring location.
