The purpose of this study was to understand the components of Denali National Park and Preserve’s acoustic environment from the perspective of its visitors. The study was split into two phases, first to differentiate natural sounds from anthropogenic noise, develop indicators and inventory management challenges, and second, to help inform thresholds (inform potential standards) related to the most common anthropogenic noises heard.
