This report is the Ethnographic Overview and Assessment of Ocmulgee National Monument for the National Park Service conducted pursuant to the Task Agreement between the National Park Service and the University of Florida. This report examines the extant demographic, ethnohistorical and ethnographic resources that document the associations with, and traditional uses of, resources at Ocmulgee National Monument. Additionally, this paper addresses contemporary interviews that were conducted in Oklahoma with descendants of American Indians who were once associated with the site. Accordingly, this report contains two primary components: 1) the ethnohistoric analysis of pre-existing resources, and 2) interviews and analysis of the memories of members of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, Thlopthlocco Tribal Town, and Seminole Nation of Oklahoma.
