The purpose of this report is to document the architecturally significant features of the four rustic CCC-era historic structures of Devils Tower National Monument, identify changes that have occurred over time, evaluate and assess the current condition of the buildings, and develop recommendations for preservation treatment. The four historic structures are the Old Administration Building (Visitor Center), the Custodian's Residence (Ranger Office), Fire Hose House/Shed, and the Entrance Station. All the structures were listed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 7, 2000. All four structures represent the park's early efforts to protect the nation's first national monument and to provide for visitor enjoyment. The process for this report included archival research, on-site assessments, photographic documentation, architectural/condition assessment drawings, and proposed treatment alternatives.
