Historic Structures Report, Part II (Portion), Architectural Data Section: Den Ceiling, Glenmont (Bldg. 10)

Souder NM. 1966. Historic Structures Report, Part II (Portion), Architectural Data Section: Den Ceiling, Glenmont (Bldg. 10). Historic Structure Report. U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service

The ceiling of the Den (Room 114) of Glenmont (Bldg. 10) had been in a gradual disintegration for some time, but a meeting held in the den revealed that the plaster had separated from the lath. That discovery prompted the removal of a portion of the false ceiling under the clerestory adjoining the separation in order to investigate further. That investigation revealed a necessity to take immediate action to rehabilitate both the ceiling and the clerestory to historical condition.
