The Hose House is the smallest building at Glenmont, home of Thomas Edison. At the time of the report, the building had deteriorated to such an extent that it warranted reconstruction. The report recommends reconstruction of the building and installation at its original site, rather than where it was moved to in the 1950s, so as to maintain historicity and for the benefit of architectural aesthetic.
