Report on the Stabilization of Vaults in the Burial Ground

Harrington JC. 1953. Report on the Stabilization of Vaults in the Burial Ground. Historic Structure Report. U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service

This report concerns a stabilization effort on six burial vaults, dating back to 1736, on the grounds of Fort Frederica National Monument. The effort had a dual purpose: first, to stabilize the ruins to prevent further degradation; second, to retain the historical character of the burial vaults. The report gives advice on future maintenance actions, as well as provides photographs detailing the stabilization process.
