Fire Management Plan (w/ 1997 FONSI and 2004 CE): Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area

2004. Fire Management Plan (w/ 1997 FONSI and 2004 CE): Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area

A Fire Management Plan (FMP) must be prepared for all parks with burnable vegetation as required by the policies governing federal wildland fire management and the National Park Service (NPS). Grounded in the guidance provided by a park’s resource management and planning documents, FMPs describe a cooperative fire management strategy based on the park’s goals and objectives for resource protection and the health and safety of the public, staff and park neighbors. NEPA Record, in reference to NPS Fire Management Plans, indicates that an NPS categorical exclusion was used to document fire management plan conformance with the National Environmental Policy Act. This FMP, including the NEPA Record, addresses Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.
