The Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site preserves Springwood, the birthplace, lifelong home, and burial site of Franklin D. Roosevelt. This historic structures report gives historical data for six component structures of the historic Springwood complex. The report primarily serves to situate each structure in the historic period, giving insight into the roles that the structures played in the Roosevelts' lives from around 1867 until the death of Franklin D. Roosevelt in April 1945. It was prepared to aid in rehabilitation of the structures, enhancement the historic scene, and interpretation of the area.
