The Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site preserves Springwood, the birthplace, lifelong home, and burial site of Franklin D. Roosevelt. This report details forestry activities at Hyde Park. Part I contains evidence on the forestry work done at Hyde Park from 1882 to 1912, before the Roosevelts' residence. Part II contains practically every letter written to or from Franklin D. Roosevelt on the subject of forestry at Hyde Park. Part III includes a brief narrative of the number of trees planted by FDR, as well as a chart with detailed information on types of trees, sources of trees, cost, locations, etc., all designed to supplement the tracing of the Roosevelt estate that accompanies this research report.
