Independence National Historical Park preserves sites associated with the American Revolution and the nation's founding history in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This historic structures report supplement concerns the House of Representatives Gallery Rail in Congress Hall. The author found that, although there is no definite proof that the gallery railing was an open balustrade, the findings suggest that it was more than likely the form used. It is therefor recommended that the House of Representatives Gallery railing be reconstructed as shown in the accompanying drawing.
