Preservation Study: Parapet at Sutro Heights Park

Mayer MT. 1980. Preservation Study: Parapet at Sutro Heights Park. Historic Structure Report. U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service

This Preservation Study concerns the Parapet at Sutro Heights Park in Golden Gate National recreation Area. Sutro Heights Park is located in the Richmond District of San Francisco, near the Pacific Ocean. The Parapet is located on a bluff at the west end of Sutro Heights. It is about 110 feet above and 500 feet southeast of the Cliff House and has a commanding view of Seal Rocks and Ocean Beach. Previous work appears to have been limited to repairs with portland cement mortar to the east ends of the north and south sections where they join the 1939-40 concrete wall. The report gives recommendations for both the ruins setting and the parapet.
