Feasibility Study: Renovation of Kolb Studio
1983. Feasibility Study: Renovation of Kolb Studio. Historic Structure Report. U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service. Denver Service Center, Denver, Colorado
This report was prepared for the purpose of analyzing the present condition and renovation possibilities of the historic Kolb Studio building located at the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park. In July, 1983, a team of architects and engineers from the Denver Service Center, at the request of the Park Superintendent and Western Regional Director, made an extensive field investigation of Kolb Studio. The goals of this team were essentially two-fold: 1. Determine sufficient technical information as to the condition of the building structure, architectural features, utility services, electrical, heating and plumbing systems. 2. Analyze potential building space usage, types of occupancy and renovation programs that should lead to the most effective long-range use of the building.
