Once the headquarters of a 10 million acre cattle empire, Grant-Kohrs Ranch National Historic Site preserves these symbols and commemorates the role of cattlemen in American history. This historic structure report concerns Historic Structure No. 2, Bunkhouse Row, at Grant-Kohrs Ranch National Historic Site. Historic Structure No. 2 has seen the greatest activity in the last 100 years of any structure at the ranch, and plainly displays its growth by accretion. Any date specific restoration would begin to diminish the building's immense interpretive value. At present the appearance of Bunkhouse Row is that of an 1890's building with interior and exterior detailing, furnishings, and use from the 1930s.
