Amphibians of the Cascade Range. Research Permit and Reporting System
We resurveyed sites historically occupied by Cascade Frogs (Rana cascadae) in the Cascade Range of Oregon. Our study included 4 sites in Crater Lake NP. We found evidence of breeding Cascade frogs at 2 sites and adult Cascade frogs with no evidence of breeding at a third site. Other amphibians detected included Western Toad, Northwestern Salamander, Long toed salamander, Chorus Frog and Rough Skin newt.
