Historic Building Site Survey Report: The Noah H. Swayne Lot (Wager Lot No. 51)
Snell CW. 1958. Historic Building Site Survey Report: The Noah H. Swayne Lot (Wager Lot No. 51). Historic Structure Report. U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service
Harpers Ferry National Historical Park preserves historic resources and commemorates the historic events that occurred at and around Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. The park consists of portions of the Lower Town, the former Storer College campus, landscapes associated with the national historical park’s Civil War significance, and lands preserving the historic viewshed down the Potomac River. This historic building site survey report concerns the Noah H. Swayne Lot (Wager Lot No. 51) on High Street in the Lower Town area of Harpers Ferry. It is proposed that this lot be maintained as a lawn and that the appropriate building known to have been there during the historic period be interpreted by means of a roadside exhibit of old photographs.
