This document concerns details of the construction of HB-1 at Hubbell Trading Post National Historic Site, as revealed by work on the pawn closet. Removal of the original pawn closet and work to prepare for placement of a fireproof pawn vault in the southwest corner of the Trader's office in HB-1 was done on July 20th and 21st, 1970. This work made possible of number of observations regarding details of construction of floors and walls in this room. The following report is based in part on observations made while engaged in the work and in part on examinations of the features.
