The historic structures at Hubbell Trading Post can be better analyzed by means of individual Part I Reports than by a comprehensive report based on descriptive and development schedules. But the essential unity of the eleven structures in terms of historic purpose and future interpretive use, their compact arrangement on the ground, and the need to treat these structures within a single, consistent framework to achieve proper historical context, combine to urge an integrated approach in the Part I Reports. Therefore all eleven reports–distinct but interrelated–are included in this one document. The document includes summary sections in which certain pervading factors can be treated at one stroke, and the individual Part I Reports comprising narrative, diagrammatic, and photographic documentation on each structure. In addition, to speed classification and inclusion of these structures on the Historic Structures Inventory, there is a HABS sheet attached to each report.
