In September 2019, the NPS proposed allowing street legal, off-road vehicles in Arches National Park (ARCH). The change was scheduled to begin November 1, 2019. We proposed to measure sound levels for ≥7 days prior to and ≥7 days following this date and assess any changes in sound levels. In late October, 2019, the NPS rescinded this proposal, and the restriction on off-road vehicles in ARCH remains in place. We collected 1532 hours of digital recordings at four locations in the park.
