A National Register of Historic Places Registration Form for Church at Taulaga Village - Swains Island. "The historic church at Taulaga Village on Swains Island is the most extant building in the village, standing on piers on the southern side of the village, it is taller than any building in the village." (The Registration Form does not speak about why this building is historically significant or how it fits the National Register of Historic Places criteria) Project funding was provided in part by a Historic Preservation Fund grant to the American Samoa Historic Preservation Office, Executive Offices of the Governor, administered by the Pacific West Regional Office, National Park Service, U.S. Department of Interior (grant number 60-14-61958).
